The international workshop is a well-established teaching method, and one that is particularly well-developed at ENSAPLV.
Around 180 students take part in a dozen international activities each year, half of which take place outside Europe.
International workshops are usually part of a Bachelor’s or Master’s-level project course.
They are based on a meeting between students and teachers from ENSAPLV and students and teaching staff from the partner establishment, brought together around a territorial or built project that raises questions common to all and is a source of learning for all.
Over and above the opportunity to work on a joint project, and thus gain an insight into the cultures of partner countries and their approaches to architecture and urban space, the international workshops enable participants to develop a critical approach to the conditions for the renewal of architecture and cities on an international scale.
An annual book, in the format of a travel diary, presents the work of the workshops and testifies to the richness of the shared experiences: Latitudes.
