The exhibition gallery is dedicated to the practice of architecture, the arts and the links between the two. Open to school users and the general public, it contributes to the dissemination of architectural culture, one of the missions of the Écoles nationales supérieures d’architecture.
A space for experimentation, demonstration and exchange, the gallery is both an educational tool and a showcase for the school’s communications. Exhibitions present techniques, explore themes in greater depth, focus on the work of a particular personality, or highlight work produced as part of a course. Most are proposed by the school’s teaching staff, who often involve external partners and students in their production. Students may also propose an exhibition under the pedagogical supervision of one of the school’s teachers. To a lesser extent, the exhibition gallery hosts travelling exhibitions from other associations and institutions (Maison de l’architecture, CAUE, etc.).
On average, ten exhibitions are organized during an academic year. Exhibitions are usually accompanied by lectures and/or guided tours.
How it works
The annual program is drawn up by a working group made up of teachers, students and administrative staff. It meets once a year to examine the proposals received.
