Image Center

ENSAPLV is developing recognized expertise in the field of image and sound in relation to architecture. The quality of the teaching of these media is reflected in the technical and human resources made available to students by the image center.

The Image Center’s mission is to help students, from the very first year of their studies, to practice photography and video as part of an architectural and/or visual approach. To this end, it provides them with appropriate equipment and facilities. It provides pedagogical and technical support for student work, and advises teachers on the implementation of specific teaching projects. An exploration course in Master 1 and other specific workshops: black and white printing workshop, digital editing software and sound training.

The department, which includes a photo workshop and a video workshop, also produces reports on the school’s various activities. It also archives and promotes ENSAPLV’s still and moving images.

 

Equipment and services

The photo workshop has a shooting studio, a development and black & white printing laboratory, and a digitization station. It offers digital reflex and compact (APS-C) cameras on loan, as well as a range of accessories (tripods, light meters, etc.).
The video workshop offers the loan of cameras, sound recorders and all the equipment and accessories required for audiovisual production (tripods, microphones, lighting, etc.). The video workshop also has a projection/studio area and an editing room equipped with 18 computer workstations.

Friday: 9.30am – 5.30pm
On Tuesdays, the studio is reserved for film seminars.
