• M2 Ergonomics, Organization and Work Spaces

Today, ergonomists work in all sectors of the economy, both nationally and internationally, and at all levels of companies (from management issues to the definition of workstations, through to the design of information systems, management tools, organizational schemes, technological resources…).

Ergonomic architects are mainly involved in diagnosing, planning and designing workplaces in relation to work organization. This is their main activity, or one that complements other areas of architectural activity.

Target audience

This Master’s degree is open to holders of a Master 1.

Continuing education: the program is open to architects, occupational physicians, engineers, managers, preventionists and, through Validation of Personal and Professional Experience (VAPP), to occupational nurses, technicians (methods, organization, prevention) and holders of a university degree in ergonomics, notably from Paris 1.

Initial training: open to students from the AES (Economic and Social Administration) Master 1 program at Paris 1 and 3rd cycle architecture students at ENSA de Paris-la Villette, those from other Master 1 programs (SHS, economics, management) and students from Master 1 programs at other universities (psychology, sociology) and engineering or management schools.

It is also available under a professionalization contract.

This professionally-oriented Master’s degree is designed to prepare students to work as ergonomists, either in-house or externally, and to intervene in aspects of work organization likely to influence both the health of individuals and the efficiency of production systems.

An essential aspect of the training program is to address the issue of working in space, and to consider approaches to transforming organizations in relation to the processes and systems of actors involved in spatial design.

This Master’s program is designed to prepare students for inter-professional cooperation with all the players involved in workplace design projects.
