Organization

Selection by Demande d’Admission Préliminaire (DAP) is based on the student’s application file; there is no interview. The admissions committee assesses all the elements of the application. It alone is empowered to select candidates and decide on their year of integration into the ENSAPLV curriculum. The administration is not a member of the ENSAPLV admissions committee.

Before applying, candidates are advised to consult the school’s curriculum so that they are aware of the knowledge and skills acquired by ENSAPLV students.

Applicants from outside Europe are required to take a French language test, the TCF/DAP, issued by France Education International (FEI).

Calendar

Applications are open from October 1 to January 15, 2025 for the year 2026-2027.

The blue preliminary admission file (DAP) is available on the Internet.

Download the DAP yellow 2025-2026 file

It must be printed out by the candidate, filled in, then handed in or mailed to the cooperation and cultural action department of the French embassy in the candidate’s country of residence. Diplomatic posts are responsible for receiving DAPs, inviting candidates who have not been exempted to take the French language test (TCF/DAP), and sending all compliant applications to the national schools of architecture concerned.

As teaching at ENSAPLV is conducted solely in French, candidates from outside Europe are required to take a French language test, unless exempted.

ENSAPLV requires an overall score of at least 420 on the French language test and a mark of at least 12/20 on the written expression exercise.

This minimum level of French is compulsory whatever the level of the course for which the applicant is applying (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree).

Passing the French language test is a necessary but not sufficient prerequisite for admission to architectural studies. It does not entitle the holder to admission to a French national school of architecture.

Register for the Test de connaissance du français (TCF/DAP) online on the France Education International website
Date: from November 4 to December 15, 2024 for the year 2025-2026
The registration fee of 74€ is payable by the candidate.

The following are exempt from the French language test (TCF/DAP):
